CertificationCertification Part IIThe Workers Safety Insurance Board requires companies to provide additional training to certified members of the occupational health and safety committee based on specific hazards at their workplaces. R.O.S.E. applies a logical evaluation system to determine what hazards are significant thereby requiring training. Evaluation of Significant HazardsIt is the responsibility of the employer to determine what hazards are significant. These are the hazards for which certified members of the occupational health and safety committee must receive training additional to the generic training already provided. Training of OH&S Committee Certified MembersTraining programs are presented to as many members of the OH&S committee that the employer wishes to have attend. The programs are on site, so time lost from work is minimal. The training program is custom-made to the significant hazards of the specific work-site, so no time is wasted on programs that are not pertinent to your work-place. WSIB CertificationThe Workers Safety Insurance Board has granted certification to all of the participants who have attended R.O.S.E. Certification Part II classes within days of their applications. |
