Indoor Air Quality Evaluations
With increased awareness of energy efficiency, closed building systems may cause problems like "sick building syndrome" which may rob your company of the productivity of your employees.
R.O.S.E. can help alleviate the problems with careful analysis of specific situations and assessments tailored to the circumstance. Often the solutions are not expensive and easy to implement.
Designated Substance Assessments
In Ontario, 11 chemical substances are classified as designated substances under the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario.

If any of these substances are used in your work-place, you have the responsibility of ensuring that the employees are not exposed to the hazard. R.O.S.E. will assist you in assessing the potential exposure and will provide you with scientific documentation as back-up.
Chemical Exposure Evaluations
Determinations of airborne concentrations of gases, chemical vapours and particulate matter are determined by sampling the air in the work-place and having the collection media analyzed at recognized analytical laboratories. R.O.S.E. uses calibrated equipment and standard procedures for the collections, then compares results to American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienist (ACGIH) published levels. We provide easy to read reports with recommended actions for lowering possible exposure levels.
Noise Measurements
Noise levels require sophisticated instrumentation and experience in its measurement. We use calibrated instruments and perform comprehensive noise surveys in which the employees are central. Dosimetry, although not required by legislation, is also available at the customer's request.
Health and Safety Audits
A comprehensive and compliant occupational health and safety program requires a thorough understanding of the status quo. R.O.S.E. Environmental Services can assist you by providing that bench-mark utilizing recognized standards for determining three prioritized categories of health and safety concerns:
1. Non-Compliance: Your company may be non-compliant with
any of the
various legislative requirements of the Occupational Health
and Safety Act,
the Fire Code, or the Building Code. Items in this category
should be rectified
as soon as possible.
2. Alert: Conditions may be within compliance,
whether due to their close-tothe-
limit status or to pending changes to the legislation. Wisdom
would dictate
improvement before these items become non-compliant.
3. Good Stewardship: Some situations may be within the legislative requirements, but improving their status would exhibit good corporate stewardship.
The audit consists of an unbiased inspection of the records, procedures, practices and physical plant, followed by an official report with recommendations for improvement.
Reports
Audit reports are well written in easy to understand English non-technical terms with digital photographic images of the workplace embedded within. Hard-copies are provided with a soft copy on a CD ROM disk.
